Social Media Wake-Up Call

“Social Media Wake-up Call” was the plenary session of the 21st annual New York Press Club Foundation Conference on Journalism, held at the New York University Kimmel Center.

Panelists talked about the use of social media by journalists. The journalists showed their websites as they talked about their jobs and then responded to questions from members of the audience. Topics included the use of hashtags, how to cut through the clutter and handle the mistakes about breaking news on social media, and the use of pay walls. Watch the panel discussion on C-Span >
